Michèle Graedel is a Swiss/American artist who received her BFA in Art at UC Berkeley, California. In her work, an intense quality of light pays tribute to her years spent in California. Now based in Luxembourg since 2005, the artist lives with the drama and visual depth of low-rising sunlight. At a Latitude of almost 50° North, the gray winter months can seem endless, but luckily, Michèle has learned to appreciate the beauty of changing light and traveling clouds!
When asked if she paints realism or abstraction, Michèle says: "I constantly strive towards abstraction but rarely ever get there. My best work happens in that space."
