Michèle Graedel was born in Switzerland and earned her BFA in the practice of art at UC Berkeley, California. She has won several awards internationally and her paintings are collected in the USA, UK, Switzerland and Luxembourg. Her work reveals an intense quality of light, paying tribute to her student years spent in California. Now based in Luxembourg since 2005, the artist follows the drama and visual depth of low-rising sunlight. At a latitude of almost 50° North, the gray winter months can seem endless for a light-seeking painter. Luckily though, Michèle enjoys the beauty of traveling clouds and rapid changes of light!
